Farewell Rev. Ophelia

Dear Friends in Christ,

Paul's beautiful words to the Philippians (above) sum up perfectly my feelings as we approach our last Sunday together before my retirement. While there is more to say, (Sunday sermon), please allow me in this eblast to express my gratitude for these last years together.

Thank you for inviting Eric and me to join your worship and your fellowship. Thank your for sharing your faith and your joy with us. Thank you for inviting me into the difficult times of your lives, privileged moments not taken for granted. Thank you for your patience as we struggled together to keep things running during the long pandemic shutdown.

Who can forget our ever-changing worship during these years, from worship in the Chapel to worship in the play yard and back to the nave again? Masks on then off, Morning Prayer then Holy Eucharist, no Wine then Wine with tongs! I am so grateful for the flexibility, patience and desire for God that have remained constant in this parish. These God-given gifts will serve you well in the weeks to come!

Please know that i aim to keep you in my prayers in the months to follow. I hope that you will do the same for me, as together we remember that "all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to God's purpose," (Rom. 8:28).

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with us all,

Ophelia
