Stewardship Campaign
’Forward Together!’
2023-2024

Dear St. Matthew’s family,

The season of gratitude and giving is upon us! We have entered the prayerful time of year when we ask our parish community to make a financial pledge to our church for 2023-2024.

The challenges and triumphs of the past several years have in many ways brought us closer. Together, we have survived an enduring pandemic, celebrated 100 years as a St. Matthew’s parish, and strengthened our community presence and support through faithful ministries and outreach.

The Stewardship Committee is honoring all these experiences with this year’s theme: Forward Together. We are committed to maintaining our vibrant, intergenerational parish and inspiring the financial sustainability to advance into a future of promise and prosperity.

Each St. Matthew’s parishioner is essential to this abiding mission! Please take a moment to reflect on the ways that St. Matthew’s enriches your life -- and then consider a financial pledge to our church for the coming year. Your support will help to amplify all that is good about our community, from the gorgeous music and thriving youth-centered ministries, to the festive fellowship and faith-exploration opportunities.

There are many ways to give, and we want to make it especially easy and accessible. We encourage everyone to reach out to the members of our Stewardship Committee by call or text with your questions or concerns. We are here to serve you and make this process as clear and transparent as possible.

Forward Together!

Sincerely,

Jim Benton, (609-5754291) Annie Gribbins, (609-309-1973) Diana Drake (609-610-0679), Andy Sheldrick (609-937-5268)

2 Corinthians 9:6

“The one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one the sows abundantly will reap abundantly.”

We will reap abundantly if we do the abundant work.  A steward is someone entrusted with property that belongs to another. Because everything we have is a gift from God, we are called to offer a portion of what we have received back to the fulfilling of God’s purposes.

Collectively, we understand that St Matthew’s has a mission grounded in Christ. It impacts us as individuals, it impacts our community, and it impacts the wider world. To maintain our worthy causes we ask you to make them your own. Become a steward by giving your time, expressing your talents, and pledging your treasure. By this you will be continuing God’s mission, a mission of joy and abundance!

As always, a HUGE thank you to all who support the work of St. Matthew’s financially throughout the year. We cannot do what we do without you!

If you’re interested in setting up automatic payments so you don’t have to worry about these kinds of things, your local bank should be able to help with that. Still have questions? Contact the Parish Office , and we’ll walk you through it.
